The chill of the air. The flavor from the flame. It may be winter, but there’s snow reason not to grill out. To inspire home cooks to fire up their grills and barbecues this season, Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association (HPBA) is presenting the first-ever online “Winter Grilling Cook-Off.”
Through Feb. 4, Grilling with Rich and three other grill masters from throughout the nation are sharing their favorite winter recipes – along with video tutorials, tips, tools and techniques to make the most of your barbecue this winter – at WinterBarbecuing.com’s Winter Grilling Cook-Off Contest page. Individuals who vote for their favorite winter grill masters can also enter to win a variety of winter grilling supplies.
“While many view winter as a time to store their barbecues and dream of warmer days ahead, we want to remind people that cooking outside during our coldest and shortest days can be just as exciting as a summer celebration,” said Jack Goldman, HPBA President and CEO. “Our ‘Winter Grilling Cook-Off’ features devoted grill masters inspiring others to keep the flame alive all winter long – we encourage everyone to learn their stories and try their favorite seasonal recipes to make the most of your barbecue experience this winter and year-round.”
Additional participants in the “Winter Grilling Cook-Off” participants and their winter grilling recipes include:
- Harry Soo of Slap Yo Daddy BBQ. Award winning BBQ Grand Champion pitmaster and cooking instructor and season one TLC BBQ Pitmasters winner. Recipe: Tsiperifery Pepper Crusted Wagyu Tomahawk Steak.
